The sedimentary layers of clay and silt that are present in any large river’s basin makes it difficult for the buildings to be built along the shores.
This example shows that multiple buildings along the shore suffer stability issues.
Buildings subsidence can be measured over a large number of points
Ground subsidence in sedimentary areas can be measured also using medium resolution Sentinel-1 data as illustrated in the map below
